‘made in my shed’ facebook series
We’ve just started a new series on our ‘my cool’ facebook page that I think you will like. I hope it will be inspiring as well as nice to look at and interesting to read.
First off is the very clever Artemis Russell. We featured her ‘his n hers’ sheds in my cool shed. Artemis and her husband Naos have two regular store-bought sheds in a small London back yard that have been painted and furnished in the most lovely way. They are a great example of an inexpensive and readily achievable means of following your dreams.
Not only do the sheds look good but Artemis and Naos used them for sewing and repairing vintage finds. They both are blessed with an amazing creative eye, and own and run Rust a modern jewellery business, and Junkaholique a blog and vintage online shop.
In truth it was Artemis that inspired me to start this series. I read on her blog about the lovely baby clothes she had been making in her shed. A collection of vintage and oriental textiles provide the inspiration and starting point… and some time and attention later… voila! The pieces are gorgeous. What a lucky baby!
Are you turning out some crafty items in your shed, or caravan for that matter? If so, please email us. We’d love to hear from you and hopefully feature you in the upcoming weeks.
